That's weird, my DIL uses a mobile groomer in the Phoenix area, and her dog, a Maltese, was shaved too closely. It turned into a very serious infection, and this is one of the reasons, I won't ever shave Joey. I don't know what the vet gave her. I think you might want to call, and see what the vet recommends. I know zinc oxide, the ingredient that is in diaper creams is really good for irritation, but I don't know about it's safety and if the dog can lick the area. I know she waited several days before she saw a vet, but the dog had licked himself so much and that it added to the problem. The cream is thicker than the ointment, and really is great, maybe with a diaper or pants so that the dog couldn't lick it off. I would do something ASAP.
