How old is she? I am thinking that she has just not ever had the chance of being exposed enough to different sounds , and noises. If she is A pup , then all of these are new to her, or she may have had a frightning experience with sounds .
I too believe it can be corrected using behaioral techniques. Some Dogs, however, are naturally shy, or timid with noises, and ear infections do not help matters.
I know for example, My Suzi who 8 months old does not like her hair combed, as son as she sees the comb she runs away from me. LIttle stinker, is very smart, and seems to always know when it is time to be combed. LOL.
