I don't know what to tell you to help her, Boo is the same way, any little sudden noise he is out of the room like he was shot from a cannon. However, I've never noticed it putting him off his feed.

For the most part I try to be aware that he is that way and when I know I'm going to make a noise I try to get his attention first so that it doesn't startle him. I usually say, "Boo, momma's going to make a big noise now." And that seems to help. If he stays I praise him, but not too big a deal and say something dumb like, "Well that was a big noise, huh Boo." The other thing is if I make a noise without alerting him first and he starts to run out of the room I'll say, "Bye-bye Boo. Come back soon, ok?" When he hears the bye-bye part he thinks that I may be leaving and he doesn't want to risk being left behind and will sometimes come back. I always praise him if he comes back and usually take a second to give him a pet or scratch.

I really think he is just very sensitive to loud noises and that perhaps in his first home that loud noises equal bad things happening. We've had him almost 2 years and he is getting better. I'm hoping that in another year or two he'll be even better or possibly even over it.
