I know what you mean. Tyke is 4 1/2 monthes old. He was going on the pads good, and now he goes beside them. I'm thinking about getting some of the washable ones. Because he does like going on my rugs when we're not paying attention to him. I think the washable pads are more like the rugs. The best advice I can give is patience. This is a trial and error thing and all dogs are different. I don't know why he all of sudden decided to quit using the pads. Now he is in his own room when he does this, where his bed, food, and toys are along with the pads. The other thing you can try is putting some of her pee on the pad, so she'll smell and think she's went there before. I don't have all the answers either. I just try things I read on here to see if it works. but right now i'm struggling trying to figure out why he doesn't go on the pads in the last 4 days when he was doing so good. hmmmm
