Most of the symptoms suggested have been pawing at or shaking of the head. Also, I did a search on Google and found that most websites list scratching as a symptom.
Sorry, I hope you don't think I'm trying to be argumentative. I'm just confused as to why you seem to feel ear mites is an incorrect assumption.
