How wide is your kitchen doorway? Can you use one of those metal/plastic baby gates that can be screwed into place or be removable? The First Years Everywhere Gate : Target Regalo Flexi Gate : Target |
My chow is actually a chow mix, she doesnt have the temperment of a chow thank goodness

. She's mixed with corgie, so she's short, and she doesnt chew

. She pretty much only has the chow tail, and purple tongue, but she's as sweet and mild natured as a corgie

.
The opening I have is kinda hard to explain, it's 2 openings that I need to cut across. My kitchen opens into the TV room and the living/dining area, so I need to keep her in the kitchen, but allow access through. I hope that makes sense

.
I have 2 traditional baby gates right now similar to the first one you showed me, but they are really hard to deal with in such a high traffic route. The second one would still be in the way. What I liked about the Child Craft is that it collapses to only 20.5" AND it can swing out of the way. Soooooo, I dunno
