Hi there, I hope you don't mind hearing from a newbie, but I just wanted to voice up on this. I don't think you made a bad choice. I understand you would have liked to have helped the poor thing, but you were also right in thinking of your little one and how it would effect them. There is nothing that says the dog would have gotten over her fear issues and it may have been more heartbreaking in the end if you had to let her go because she wouldn't calm down. I think it was wrong of the breeder to lie to you about her just to try to get her off her hands. Honestly, there is a reason she lied. And as MyPeanutAbbyGra has mentioned, she may have been sick and if Chewy would have gotten sick and maybe passed away because the dog might have been sick, well that would have been heartbreaking too. I truly do feel you made the right choice. The right dog will come along for you. I just don't feel this one was that dog. Hope you feel better about the situation. You did the right thing in thinking about Chewy. |
