Oh sounds like you have a winner for a trainer.
I chuckled over the trainer telling them to back off the dog.. so me, I do ir all the time when I working fear dogs.... great of her.
I wish you the best of luck and I hope all goes well.
There will be set backs that is the nature of training but take a breath and keep on going as in the set backs and the recovery you see just how far you have come.
Have fun and hope that fear will one day be a long ago memory.
