Hi! I currently have custody of my grandmother's poodle. My grandfather has alzheimers and she just couldn't take care of them both any longer. She is the only poodle that I have ever had, but she is great! She is very loving and follows me everywhere. She was also a rescue dog. She came from the humane society and our vet thinks she was probably in a puppy mill. The temperment seems to be pretty much the same as a yorkie. She doesn't require as much daily grooming as a yorkie, but needs clipping more often. She is such a little sweetie, but she will probably be looking for a new home soon. My grandmother has told me that she won't be able to take her back. And Katie (the poodle) doesn't like my dogs. She likes to play with them on her terms, but Captain Jack doesn't know when to stop! He aggravates her until she has to be mean to him. She needs a home where she is an only dog, or maybe with an older dog! Good luck....I hope you can get in touch with them soon!!!
oh....I almost forgot. The tear stains are easier to deal with on a poodle because their whole face gets shaved! I love keeping Katie in a frufru modified continental cut!!
