how long ago did she see a vet? I'm sure they checked her before she was adopted out, but one thing i worry about if she hasn't been seen in a while, apart from pregnancy, is any kind of heart problems which can manifest as panting at rest and worsening with exertion. in an older dog who was rescued, she's at higher risk. are there certain times or positions that make it better or worse?
