Ultimately this is between you, the breeder and your vet, but I wouldn't have let him get the rabies shot with out contacting the breeder first. I believe overvaccination is a problem, especially for small dogs. If I were you, I would do some online research about vaccination and titer testing. Take it to your vet and see if he is willing to consider the info. JMO, but I wouldn't want a vet (or doctor) that wasn't willing to continually educate himself and keep an open mind. Do you have shot records from the breeder? Did she/he give them do the dog or did they take the pups to a vet? Regardless, you should have gotten some kind a shot record. If the shots were given at home, ask for copies receipts, dates given and lot numbers from the vaccines. If the breeder doesn't have any of this info, I would look into titer testing, before possible double vaccinating a toy breed. I would also not go back to this breeder. Maybe you should seek a second opinion.
