Maggie is having the same problem but hers was due to a spider bite that caused a major allergic reaction. But the vet also suggested dermcaps for small /petite dogs he said one a day would be good for her skin and coat. They are like vitamin e capsules and he suggested either giving it to her like you would a pill or poking a hole in it and putting it in her food.
