I have about a 10 yr old yorkie and when we got him 2 years ago from the shelter we had his teeth cleaned profesesionally where they put him under and did his whole mouth. Since then, we give him treats to help with the teeth but only brush his teeth once in a while. It looks like there is some build up on his teeth, like a yellowing and tartar build up. Should he be brought to the vet again for a cleaning? Or could we just start to brushing him weekly maybe to see if the plaque goes away?
