I had this thing one time(can't remember what it was called) and it set off a high pitched sound that only the dogs could hear when they would bark, it didn't work. My mom has a bark collar for her little dog, it was made for 5 lbs(my sister also has one), one time of wearing it is all it took. My moms little dog only has to see that collar now and it will stop barking. The thing is, maybe people aren't crazy about using them, but, believe me, the high pitched barks that my moms dog has, is enough to drive a sane person insane. They have some new sprays and plug ins that are supposed to work, but, not sure how good they are. If you have a tv or radio you can turn on, that seems to help. I know my shih tzu is deathly afraid of storms, so, when it's storming, I turn the tv on louder. Good luck, I know how aggrivating it can be when they run around barking for no apparent reason
