I just brought it out from the closet and put Mocha in it (I haven't used it in a while). Mocha is 3lbs and fits in it comfortably with the bag all zipped up. You can zip up the front if you don't want his head to stick out. Mocha's not cramped in it or anything and looks pretty comfortable, but I don't think a 6lbs dog would be able to fit in there without having his head stick out. Does your baby look small for his weight? I know that some dogs can weigh a lot more than they look, because they have a small frame but they have a lot of muscle. So even he's 6lbs, but has a small body, I think he could fit comfortably in it (but needs to stick his head out). I have to go put my camera on the charger, but when it's ready I'll take pictures of Mocha inside the bag so that you can have an idea of how big it is. Let me know if you have any other questions
