Baxter is lucky, because Mom recognizes he is part human. She has learned to always investigate when he barks, because it is usually to tell Mom that Cooper got shut in the garage, or he is picking on Darcy. No matter how many pets I have he will always have a special place, he my first pet in my adult life, the one I picked out at a week old, and visited EVERY week until he was old enough to come home, the one I carried in our home wrapped in a receiving blanket, scared to death I would get it all wrong. I did, but he still loves me.

Cooper is lucky because he got an experienced Yorkie Mama. He didn't have to sense the frustration Baxter did when he made potty mistakes. He didn't get in to things that made him sick to his tummy, because Baxter taught Momma that Yorkies can and WILL chew anything! Cooper is the dog that I brought home even though Hubby said no.

Darcy...I don't know, since I don't know her previous circumstances. I feel fortunate to have her..she is so calm...and such a great companion. We love her just as much as the two we had since puppy hood. Her meds are over $50 per month, and I am up a minimum of 2 to 3 times per night, sometimes more, to allow her to pee, and drink. For all she gives us, we give her the best medical care and medicine she can have, the best food for her, and an endless supply of bows

I feel all of them are lucky because they are not treated as accessories, they are the kids I couldn't have. I love them all beyond measure.
