Strange...could be, there is no telling. Don't freak yourself out over an orb that showed up in the picture though, it could have been anything...dust or moisture reflecting the flash. They show up in pictures all the time.
We have a....something/someone that lives in our house too...you get used to it and don't even notice after a while.
