I have a friend who raised cats and then bought a young Jack Russell. She is not someone who is a real high energy person either and at the time was driving out of town to get her master's degree. However, she walked her dog religiously and gave her a soccer ball for the back yard. She watched her carefully around her cats, and today, she is happy with Molly who is a good companion. It can be done. My friend had some good stories, but she is an animal lover and was not about to give up. What ever you decide to do, you are a good person for saving this little baby.
