I got Cocoa from a petstore. I got lucky because she is very healthy and has a great tempermant. I did not know about puppy mills and will try to get my next yorkie from a CT Breeder.

I did try petfinder first and found that frustrating. I had to fill out a separate application for each dog. Many times only to find out the dog already had a home. Also, many did not like that I work and that I have kids. We are wonderful, loving pet owners and getting a pet on petfinder seemed harder than adopting a child. I can't help wondering if more dogs would have homes if the adoption process was a little easier.
