I thought it was a joke at first myself..so I asked a canine eye doctor in MD about 20 yrs ago..he had a long explanation for it, I do not recall the terms he used. I will ask a breeder I know in Delaware, she wrote an article in the Yorkie mag some years ago explaining it.
