OH YEA..........the southern style, and it's "the" best. This is the way my grandmother, mother and then myself fried chicken. Just make sure the oil is hot before adding the chicken (or the coating will stick to the skillet instead of the chicken) and quicky brown on both sides before lowering the heat and slowly frying till done. Don't put the lid on the skillet, just use a screen to help with the splattering. YUMMY.......
