I've only had him for a week. He's really jumpy too and barks at every little thing. If I leave the room to do anything he'll start to bark, whimper, whine and yelp. It's awful. It doesn't matter if he's out roaming about the house or crated he'll absolutely lose his mind once I leave the room. The first weekend I had him wasn't so bad b/c we spent all day together but now that I leave him in the morning and he doesn't get let out till 1:30 (I leave around 7:50am) it seems as if he's acting out. He's not a bad dog by any means he's just very headstrong and probably upset with his new living arrangement.
I feel awful, because I know I spend far more time spoiling him and taking care of him than his previous owners but I also feel terrible b/c I'm sure it's hard on him getting used to a new routine.
Anyhow, thank you so much for your response!!! Your words of advice, encouragement and support greatly comforted me today.
