Yes, I have five right now. I started with Shadow (almost 8 yrs old) and he was my one and only until last July when we rescued Gellica (3 yrs old). Then, these two had a litter of 4, and we got Sapphire 3 days later (because we were already on a waiting list for her, and didn't know back then that we would be having our own pups) - so that brings us to 7 yorkies. Well, we ended up keeping two from our litter (Phantom & Brandi) and they will be turing one on Halloween!
Phew, so that's my story of how we ended up with so many, and all their ages. Now, if your question is "How much work is it" - well, I won't lie to you, it IS work, but it's all worth it!! There was no problem adding one dog to make two. The biggest adjustment, I think, is "more than two", but once you can handle three, there isn't much difference between 3 and 5. |
