Roxy I hear you, my little humphrey is exactly the same. I just wrote all my neighbors a little note, letting them know that Humps is still learning and that I apologise for the inconveniences. Luckily, my neighbors seem to like the little furball and most are working during the day anyway. I suggest you take her for long walks in the morning, and chances are she will be too tired to bark and moan when you're gone.
In my case, when I am going to be gone for 3 hours or longer I just crate him (because he is not fully potty trained). But lately, I have been leaving for two hours at a time and just letting him run free in the living room with the tv on... we removed our rugs and everything in case of an accident, but not once has he had an accident and he is usually napping by the time I come back (when crated, he used to pee on the sleeping area, destroy the pee pad...roll over his mess...). |
