Actually it depends on your state you live in. I know that in Ohio, you can not sell a puppy under 8 weeks of age. BUT breeders of toy dogs think that 12 weeks of age is the better age to go with as they are still learning key things from the mom and litter at this age.
I actually got all 3 of mine between 10 to 12 weeks of age and I have not had any problems with them learning social skills or had health problems with any of them at all.
