HI! Welcome to YT! You will LOVE it here!!!!!!!

I am a new yorkie owner myself. Her name is Fiona and she will be 7 months old on the 29th of this month!

First, are you crate training your new puppy!? Many people think crate training is harsh, but, I live for it! I think its a great thing!

As far as potty training goes, as soon as you take her out of the crate in the am, first thing is to take her outside. When she is out there, and going to the bathroom, you can come up with a command word. Make sure that EVERYONE in your household is using the same word, and be CONSISTANT!

When Fiona would start to urinate i would say in a high pitched toned voice " Good PEE PEE, good girl? and then really let her know she did the right thing. You only wanna say the word when they are in the act of doing it, not before, not after<~~~~ that is key! And when she would deficate I would say " Good poopy, good girl" I have her basically on command now, so it makes potty time outside, go faster!

She only had 2 accidents on TILED floor when I first got her. They say that yorkies are really hard to potty train, but I don't agree, since Fiona did such a great time doing so!

Just be patient, consistant, and really reward her!

GOOD LUCK!
