Tuesday Morning around 12:42 my 2 yr old Yorkie who is in heat bit my little 2 lb yorkie in the hind leg just because she walked too close to a toy she had been playing with. Angel was telling her to get away or else, well the or else happened. Little Harmony was crying and shaking and so freightened. I just held her I didn't notice the blood from the injury on her leg.
At first I thought she was just injured because when I went to stop the aggressive behavior Angel fell down on her. I took her to the vet when they opened at 8am and he shaved the wound and it was swollen so badly. He then took an x-ray and showed me the bad news 2 broken metatarsal bones weight baring bones. They splinted it into a make shift cast and gave her pain medication.Yesterday she ate and probably walked aorund too much.
Now I have to worry about infection and it healing as properly as it can. The bones were fairly well approximated for placing the splint on.
I feel so sorry for her and I am so mad at Angel but I know it was an accident.
