I definitely prefer the long tails! As we're in the Uk its becoming more unusual to see a docked tail! I know some say there can be hygiene issues, but Mika has never had an issue and I'm growing her coat and have never clipped under her tail and never had a problem! Besides if tails were "bad" for them then they would be born without! As far as I know tails were originally docked in ratting terriers mainly because when the dogs went down small holes after their quarry the only way to get them out was to pull their tail and if the tail was long it often broke or became damaged, a docked tail is much sturdier. But I doubt many people want to go around dragging their babies by the tail!
I think the "fashion" for a docked tail is dying out (at least, it seems that way to me) and I really hope you decide to leave your babies with their most versatile "limb"!!!
