Yorkie's have some of the worst teeth and you really need to keep a close eye on them making sure you brush them regularly. Wet dog food is not good for them the dry will help aid in the teeth cleaning and also strengthen the jaw. I have heard about many older yorkies who have split jaws and all they can eat is wet food. It is not preferred unless you are mixing small amounts with dry food. JMO
