Oh shoot, I'm at work and trying to recall length. I *think* I got the 8-9" last time, but I'm not totally sure on it. The kind I got is adjustable. She does have a sizing guide on there I think, do I don't know if that'd help you. And, the ribbon-on-ribbon is just perfect in thickness - it really is very tough/durable since it's a "canvas-y" ribbon. You just put in the order notes, toward the end of the order, "please make collar ribbon-on-ribbon". You won't believe how fast she ships to you either
