This did not work for me. I bought several different varieties.
A ten week old puppy does not even understand the concept of no
barking. Most 10 wk old pups don't even bark yet.
You need to be patient with your pup. Perhaps your feeling extra
stressed because like you mentioned you not suppose to have a pet.
It's not the dog's fault he is in a situation where he needs to be punished
for something that is coming natural to him. Using a collar of any kind,
especially unsuperived during the day and night can be very dangerous.
Not only could he get caught on something but there have been cases
where the dog actually choked itself trying to get the collar off and got
his foot stuck between the collar and neck, choking.
To train a dog to do anything takes time and patience. You can't shake
a can once or twice and say it dosent work. The dog first is too young
and second he has to understand that when the can is shook he has to stop
barking. This only comes when it is continuous training on a daily basis.
