Have you told him that you will always have to separate your yorkie and a rescued adult Cane Corso that has not been raised with him? Separate rooms, baby gates, the works. They can be very aggressive and even a "nip" or rough play can be fatal for a yorkie
From a selfish perspective, they don't look very cuddly. I can appreciate the beauty of a Cane Corso from a far, but no way no how is one of those canes coming near my bed
Down the road, if you guys are planning on having kids, the Golden would be soooooo much better with both the kids and the yorkie. I can't speak for a particular dog, but Golden are usually a very tolerant of being annoyed and pulled at by little dogs and kids.
If you have a Cane, Baby, and Yorkie, that's three things you've gotta separate.
