My initial reaction is, yes, press charges against the person who took the dog. They stole him every bit as much as if they'd taken him out of your home.

But Coco Pebbles brings up a good point. Is it worth more heartache for you? It might be tough to prove. They could just say they found the dog, he didn't have a collar and they never called you.

But if you think you have enough on them to nail them, I'd say go for it. They put you through hell.

Congratulations on getting him back. I can't imagine how excited you must be. Too bad about the innocent party, but that's what happens when you adopt a dog from someone under shady circumstances.
