OMG, no! When she was 4-5 days old, the breeder had the vet remove her DEWclaws (the "nail" that grows behind the paw...up the leg just a tad...on both the front and back legs), but apparently he didn't get all of it! It looks so tiny and is so sensitive I think he just didn't get all of it, and part of it is growing back. I wouldn't even bother having him re-do it (since I've heard doing it after 4-5 days old can be painful to them) except that she's reeeeaalllly touchy about me touching there--she's a little better now than she was when it first started growing back in, but she's still jumpy about it. I'm guessing since only part of it grew back, it's just really sensitive?? And maybe since it doesn't seem to be the whole thing, it won't be quite as big a deal to have it removed as waiting until a baby is older to have them removed?? I don't know, but I hope so!
