This morning I was petting my dexter and found a tick on him. It was not TINY but it was not one that would get hugely massive either. It had already had the head in him and was getting bigger.
I think it may have gotten on him thursday night.
IF it was a deer tick (which I have NO idea what those look like) how would I know if he got lymes disease? I took the tick out with tweezers, definately got the head and put alcohol on the bite. How long would it take him to get sick, if he gets sick? I don't know how long it takes to transmit lymes disease. Im worried sick!
What are signs I should be looking for? I so wish I didn't have to worry about this problem! I would think by mid/late October the ticks would be gone by now!!! My poor little man. Im going to be doing full body scans on both my boys tonight to make sure there are no more ticks. I caught this one by chance but I was on my way out to work so I didnt have time to look for more on either boy.
