Default color

A much better way is not in a photo, but a dark room. I used to go in my kennel in MD..turn out the lights and use a flashlight. Shine it in the dogs direction, much like an animal caught in the headlights of a car! LOL
You can see the true color flashing. I had a show potential male puzzled most who saw him...I knew he was a bit soft, but others said, no it was silk. His eye flash was a light gold, warm color...he finished his title..it was a tricky color..a bit more of a green tint and it would have been so much better texture. I was careful to only beed him to very silk girls.

A coarse coat can still be cool..and flash green..infact coarse hair is not cotton or wooly at all.
