And no, breeding more than one breed does not automatically make you a bad breeder, but it IS a common red flag that you'd want to look into.
Letting them go at 8 weeks of age does offer one other problem; innocculations aren't started until 8 weeks of age (per vet and pharmacutical recommendation. 8 weeks is when weaning begins (dangerous time for puppies) Most yorkies don't reach 2 pounds by that age and don't eat readily when placed in a new invironment....possibility of hyperglycemia is there when they are this age. So, as a breeder wouldn't you want to make sure that you minimize the possibilty of an emergency existing for the new family.......

Yes, 8-12 weeks is the socialization time for puppies.....mom's do alot of training......by the time my puppies go home they are vet checked at least twice, 2 sets of innocculations, eating well, piddle pad trained.
