Sadly you are right...many breeders are letting them go at that age. But when you consider the number of 'bad breeders' out there these days, 'that's what everyone else does' doesn't really hold true as a valid point.
Of course, this is something that there are a wide range of differing opinions on. Not everyone is going to agree on it.
And no, breeding more than one breed does not automatically make you a bad breeder, but it IS a common red flag that you'd want to look into.
