Is there not another vet they can take the dog too or call the vet and work out a payment plan since it's an emerencey??? No offense I know those are your friends but if they are so concerned about their dog then why are they letting the issue of oweing money stop them?? Anyways I'm no expert but if they think the dog had a heat stroke I would assume they should make sure it gets lots of fluids to rehydrate itself and keep the dog cool and indoors. And watch it very closely to make sure he's breathing returns to normal. Basicly just keep a very close eye on him.
