I think it has to do with age. When I got Esme at 12 weeks, she had no clue how to play with toys. Now, she is 17 weeks and she LOVES her toys! She drags them all out and hides them around the house... It's very funny! She also loves rugs better than tile, so she usually brings her toys to the rug to play.
