So, since Hootie was getting sick and Hobbs teeth are still very gross, I'm going to just bite the bullet and let the vet clean them.

Hootie is 3.5lbs and Hobbs is a little over 4lbs. My vet assured me that they should be fine under anesthesia. Should I be worried? Both of them have been under anesthesia once before to get fixed, but I'm still so nervous.
I'm not sure by your post, but it sounds like you were brushing their teeth with Petzlife, and you aren't suppose to do this. You just use a small amount of Petzlife one night, and brush the teeth with dog's toothpaste at another time. The way it's said to work is that it softens tartar and you brush it away. People, who use it from an early age, have reported no signs of tartar, and so far this is happening with Joey, I use it about twice a week. Good luck with the teeth cleaning, Yorkies are more prone to tartar than other breeds, and many people neglect their teeth, and this can cause serious problems. Glad you are taking care of it, and good luck.
