Her get's verbal reinforcement (positive) for the duration of his stay. Treat at the end. I only try this when he's warmed up. We made a game of it, and what really worked to lengthen his time, was playing a game where I hid a favorite toy while he stayed and then "Okay! Go get it! Where is it? Huh? Go FIND it!".

He goes bonkers and searches the whole house untill he finds it. Sometimes I think he won't find it or has lost interest. An hour later he might come to me with the toy: "I found it, damn you!"
