I would advise your friend to find a breeder that consistently produces to meet the AKC standard by starting with yorkies that meet those standards as close as possible.
When I hear about 10 lb yorkies, male or female being bred the first thing that pops in my head is...people are out to make a buck! The way to make money at breeding is to do it the wrong way, do it the right way and it is a passion and a commitment...not a job!
