Thank God Daisy was OK!! I know exactly how you felt! We were "sitting" Shira not long ago. She was wearing a step-in harness and I have no idea how it happened, but I was talking to a neighbor and suddenly the retractible leash flew up to the holder in my hand and all that was there was the harness!! I almost fainted!! There she stood in the yard wearing nothing but a "smile"! I used my very best, high-pitched, play voice and was able to just walk over to her and pick her up! Geeezzzzzzz .... my life passed before my eyes!
I am so happy that little Daisy hadn't gotten into a dangerous situation! Sometimes, no matter how secure we feel, they can get into trouble.
