Long story short...
My next door neighbors invited me over for a cookout tonight. So I got the girls ready and took them with me. Abby and Daisy both had on sweaters, their harnesses and I had a leash on them.
I was sitting on a bench, holding the leashes, I felt tugging...everything is alright...right?
WRONG! One of the guests walks up to me holding Daisy!
I look down and see her sweater and harness on the ground. Abby was the only one tugging! I almost croaked!
She found Daisy by the food..of course.
This is the same harness that I use to walk her and she has never, ever slipped out of it!! Maybe it was the sweater...heck I don't know. What I do know is, it made me sick to my stomach to think about what could have happened
Peanut was killed not even a quarter of a block from where I was sitting. Thank God Daisy isn't a bolter like she used to be.
We came home right after that.
