I've loved reading what everyone else has written! So many stories!
I picked yorkie because I knew I wanted a small dog.
I researched lots of small breeds, but found that even a 10lb dog was bigger than I wanted. I fly a lot & wanted to take her with me on my trips - so I really needed a companion that wouldn't be heavy running through the airport & comfy under a seat
Also, I loved that she wouldn't shed & would have a full personality.
Yorkies are just so cute too, aren't they?
I was worried about the "bad things" about the breed. Being over-protective, too independent-minded, barking at everything.
My Ali is NOTHING like that. She looooves people - so warm & trusting to people of all sizes, age or color! She couldn't care less if someone is talking to me or sitting next to me. And she only barks about once every other day ... mostly only when playing!
She is just so perfect. The breeder told me her personality was "calm" for a yorkie ... & now that I've visited the breeder again since taking Ali home she says that Ali has really just morphed into my personality. Easy-going, not too fussy & just along for the ride.
I couldn't be happier with my yorkie choice!!!!!!!
