A neighbors cat ran into my house several years back, I had the bad habit of keeping the back door open, hardly any bugs in Arizona, and the cat peed on the side of my couch. I tried many types of cleaners before I found Natures Miracle. That stuff is great; you really have to saturate the surface, and give the product time to work. Urine contains proteins that most regular cleaners can't touch, but certain products that contain enzymes, which are really a "good" bacteria, that eat the protein, which eliminates the smell. A black light will show you any protein based stains, and they are easy to buy this time of year. Remember, when you saturate the stain, at first it will smell stronger, just because it's wet, give it time. Odoban is another enzyme cleaner, and I believe Simple Solutions makes one too, look for the word "enzyme."
