That was a little stupid of them not to honor it since they already had him scheduled, and not that slot will be empty. Good for you for asking him, but many vets have office managers, and policy is set and rules are enforced by them. In the past, I think too many vets were softies, and easily taken advantage of, so don't be too upset with your vet. At least you can put off worrying a few more weeks. I wonder how many people know about national spay neuter month, I'd never heard of it.
