I love my dogs more than I like most people but there comes a point when you have to consider your own personal wellbeing. I, like these fine people, don't have a lot of money either. $7,000 would be well beyond what I could afford in vet fees.
THIS is why everyone is upset:

"Well the VET offered to keep him there for the night for an outrageous fee. In return, I would have to turn him over to some organization that would attend to his physical needs & I lose him to some family that would adopt him.

Quite frankly, I'd rather lose him to Heaven than to have him in someone's possession knowing that I failed to commit to my puppy."

I know not everyone has $7000 to spend, but they were given the choice to surrender him - So obviously the Doctor knew that given the opportunity this pup should have and could have been saved!!!!

The bottom line is that they wrote that #1 They didn't want to have to pay any money towards vet care if #2 They would have to surrender him.

I know that alot of Vets suggest PTS and they go along with it in more cases than we want to even think about....So when it was written that the Vet suggested to surrender, that tells us all that this pup actually was healthy and young and he should have and could have had the opportunity to live a life he deserved...but they owners were too selfish, they would rather live with the thoughts of him being in heaven verse being loved and cared for by another family - THAT'S WHY WE ARE ALL UPSET
