I love my dogs more than I like most people but there comes a point when you have to consider your own personal wellbeing. I, like these fine people, don't have a lot of money either. $7,000 would be well beyond what I could afford in vet fees.

Nobody is upset about her not paying $7000 for the surgery. What we are upset about is that she could have turned the dog over to the rescue organization who would have PAID for it and then would have found him a new home. His life could have been saved, that is why everyone is upset. Obviously what is done is done, we just all feel sad for Spanky.
